I just figured I should post a note saying that the post before this is in no way ment to oftend anyone and is NOT saying that Muslims are evil. But if you can't figure out the symblizom of the song, thats your problem, I don't feel like explaining it. However, this brife, part of one of my IMs might help. I don't feel like fixing the spelling, but I thing you could figure out whats being said. some of the names have been changed at the IMer's request.

Crow Vamp: did I just depress everyone?
Rootbeer: I don't think I got it.
:Rootbeer: Or get it, or whatever.
jmw: im just sort of fuzzing out
Crow Vamp: basically everyone fights to protect there way of life, and don't be so brazon to believe that your eneamy is completely evil
Crow Vamp: that war is gray
:Rootbeer: Yeah, but Muslims have forked tongues?
Crow Vamp: thats comepairing them to the dragons
Crow Vamp: that they are saposated ly evil blasfermers
Crow Vamp: and liers and such
Crow Vamp: not true
Crow Vamp: but if you belive what some poilistions say
Crow Vamp: that might as well be saying that
Rootbeer:: Well, to me, it looks like you are in agreement with the words of the song because you posted it without any commentary.  Or did I miss something?
Crow Vamp: and the the cursading knights were not really fighing dragons that is was the same ememy
Crow Vamp: but the point of the song is the young son is wrong
Crow Vamp: treat you enemy as I would have them treat you
Crow Vamp: with respect and not torucer
Rootbeer: In other words, don't be like the Crusaders?
Crow Vamp: and that he realizes killing the dragon was wrong
Crow Vamp: yeah
Crow Vamp: don't make the same mistakes
Rootbeer:   Ok.  I see that now.  It's sort of a conversation.  didn't get that at first.
Crow Vamp: it works better with the soft music behind it
Crow Vamp: the cellos and violens
Rootbeer: I definitely need some more Very Cherry Ice Cream after that.

The fallowing are lyrics to the song "Crusade" by Voltaire from the CD "Then And Again". I figured they seemed appropriate to share  today. I am also posting the dedication that is in the CD's booklet, because Voltaire words it so much better then I ever could. For more info on Voltaire visit: www.voltaire.net   or www.projekt.com

"This song is dedicated to the brave men and woman of our armed forces. They don't decide our foreign policy. They don't decide where they go or what they'll do when they get there. And yet, they steadfastly put their lives on the line so that the rest of us don't have to.  Whether or not you agree with our government's policies, these bold, self sacrificing individuals deserve our support."

Crusade by Voltaire

"Long ago, I went to war
To fight the scourge
Of Christendom.
I held aloft my blessed sword
And said,
'By God,
Let them come.'

They said their eyes
Are red  as flame
I heard it told
From Hell they came
Their breath is fire
Their tongues are forked
Thus are the beasts
Of Dragon's Gate

(chorus)
I heard my father's words
Deep in my heart.
'Son know your enemy
as I know my son'

The Fates were kind
The let me in
The Dragon's lair
The den of sin
I placed my sword
Upon it's heart and
With a prayer
I thurst it in.

The dragon fell
Upon the ground
Twas then I heard
A whimpering sound
A dragonling
to his father clung
Who only fought
To protect his young

I heard my father's words
Deep in my heart.
'Son know your enemy
as I know my son'

And now my son
Is off to war
To fight the new scourge
Of Christendom
He holds aloft
His brazen sword
And says,
'Dad let them come'

He swears their eyes
Are red as flame
And heard it told
From Hell they came
Their breath is fire
Their tongues are forked
Thus are the men
Of Muslim faith.

Son hear your father clear
Deep in your heart
Son know your enemy
As I would have them know
My son."

After years of rumors all over the web, I guess its officially true now. Johnny Depp is going to play Barnabas Collins in a movie based on the gothic 60's soap Dark Shadows. As a fan of both Johnny and DS I don't know what to think yet. But I do know that Johnny has always been a big fan of the show, so he will give the roll the proper respect. The full article is under the cut.

The Part of You That No One Sees

You are passionate, romantic, and emotional.
You put love first in your life, even though you have often been disappointed by it.
You expect to be swept of your feet, and you never expect infatuation to die out.

Underneath it all, you are scared that you aren't lovable.
Your insecurity has ruined many relationships, as you are unable to see the love that's really there.
You are secretly afraid of being alone. Confronting your insecurities is incredibly painful.

You Are Rogue
You're reluctantly special. In fact, you long to be normal. You consider your powers to be a curse, and something you can't control. Powers: absorbing other people's memories and abilities, weakening and killing people with your touch
